The State Taxation Administration and the IMF Collaborate to Discuss Tax Performance Management

On September 28, the forum of the State Taxation Administration and the IMF (International Monetary Fund) Performance Management Cooperation Training Class was held in Beijing. Wang Lujin, member of the Party Committee of the State Taxation Administration and deputy director of the State Taxation Administration,and the relevant person in charge of the IMF Performance Management Cooperation Project and the tax management experts of the IMF's Ministry of Finance Affairs attended the meeting. 

Wang Lujin first expressed his gratitude to the experts from the State Taxation Administration for their feedback to the IMF and the performance management cooperation training class. Wang Lujin said that the State Taxation Administration had established a good cooperative relationship with the IMF in the 1990s, and this cooperation has made fruitful progress. 

Wang Lujin pointed out that in recent years, Chinese taxpayers have fully demonstrated the spirit of vigorous vitality and struggling, and tax performance management has played an important role. Performance management is a worldwide problem that needs to be continuously improved. The Chinese taxation department will continue to strengthen communication and exchanges with foreign counterparts and international organizations in tax performance management to provide the international community with Chinese experience in performance management. 

The IMF experts fully affirmed the achievements of the Chinese taxation department in performance management. They believed that the design and operation of the organization and individual performance management framework of the Chinese taxation department were consistent with international best practices and established a modern performance management system. IMF experts also put forward opinions and suggestions on further improving the quality and performance of performance management work from the aspects of data quality. 

Relevant officials from the General Office of the State Taxation Administration,the International Taxation Department, the Personnel Department, and the Propaganda Center attended the meeting.
