History



Founded in 1984, the National Tax Institute of STA (CPC Party School of STA) is currently the only cadre education and training institution directly under the State Administration of Taxation. In 2003, the STA formally defined the functions of the institute as “the party-building education base for the taxation system, the training center for intermediate-and-senior civil servants, the international taxation training base and the taxation training and research base”. In June 2004, approved by the State Administration of Taxation, it assumed the name and function of International Taxation Training Center of STA. In October 2004, approved by SCOPSR, it assumed the name and function of the CPC Party School of STA; in October 2009, the STA named the institute the “STA Demonstration Base for Integrity Education”; in December 2009, the institute assumed the name and function of the “Chinese CTA Training Base”; in April 2012, the institute started the trial operation of the "National Online College of STA” and in March 2016 it was upgraded to “National Cyber College of STA” and open to the national tax system. In March 2016, it assumed the name and function of the “OECD-STA Multilateral Taxation Center”.
