As the 6th OECD MTC in the
world and the 1st in non- OECD member countries, the institute has been very
active in exchanges with its international counterparts.
More than 60 faculty members have visited for
academic purposes such countries and regions as Japan, South Korea, US, Canada,
Australia, Austria, France, Italy, Turkey, Hungary, Argentina and Taiwan, or
participated in training programs organized by international organizations like
OECD. Officials and experts from International Financial Association, OECD, and
countries and regions like Canada, Japan, Australia and Taiwan have been
invited to visit and teach.
The institute has held a lot
of international training programs including more than 50 STA and
OECD-organized training programs on topics of international taxation, three
training programs for Mongolian tax officials, one training program sponsored
by United Nations Development Program (UNDP), one International Monetary Fund
(IMF) program, one Study Group on Asian Tax Administration and Research
(SGATAR) program and one program sponsored by Lincoln Foundation. Many seminars
on tax administration and taxpayer service for tax officials in developing
countries have been held by the institute in recent years. All these programs
have won high recognition from international organizations, experts and
participants.
